Departure and first stop Mildura

We loaded on to the Spirit, TT Line, in Devonport on the evening of the 23rd May 2018. On board with us were Ainesley and Ros Smith and Graeme and Judy had boarded on the 22nd. Ultimately the other stops will include visiting family to catch up with our gand children.
First, we were destined for Mildura where we would spend the first week together on one of the the Sunrasia Resort houseboats. We were allocated Barbados 103. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 level Houseboat with all facilities and a spar. After the first night in the Buronga Caravan Park near Mildura and some shopping for supplies we boarded Barbados 103 at 1400hrs and took our instructions from Grant. After which we had some instructions and practice runs with Grant still aboard to ensure we could handle the houseboat.
We set off under our own steam and headed for Gol Gol to find an overnight berth. Our berth was in a new estate not far from Buronga. Next day we set off for the Trentham Estate Winery. Lovely wines and a beautiful spot.
After wine tasting we set off to find our berth for the evening which was close to Psyche Point not far from Red Cliffs. On the third day we set off for Bottle Point and found a lovely spot there to berth despite too much rubbish being left by previous campers. No fish to date!
